I believe for a story to be worth telling it must meet many expectations. Stories that are worth telling to me have a meaningful message and make me interested by things that I can relate too. Of course they need a set of exciting characters and a significant plot. The story must have a sense of direction and be very thought provoking making me think about the events that are happening. But most important, I feel a story that is worth telling is very inspiring and makes someone take action and changes their views on something for the better. Great stories demand tragedy, conflict and cry out for redemption.
A story that is definitely worth telling is A Game of Thrones; it is filled with inspiration, thoughtfulness and deep messages. This book took me for a ride with many twists and turns throughout. Heroic actions were taken place, Eddard Stark leaving his home to be the hand of the king and trying to save his homeland. Through tough times he still stays strong and teaches people never to give up. The setting of this story, the cold winter forests and dry arid desserts makes you want to visit it yourself. Overall one of the greatest aspects of the story is the different views and perspectives the author gives us on the characters; everyone loves and hates each other.
